One piece, two ways! Jigsaw’s Paisley Jacquard Skirt…

We all love to get some mileage out of our wardrobe staples and this week on ‘Inside Jigsaw’ stylist, Chloe Arnold, illustrates the versatility of our Paisley Jacquard Skirt.

Chloe has created a day and an evening look that focus around the skirt as a centrepiece. The outfits have been styled to accompany other key pieces from the Jigsaw collection.

The Paisley Jacquard Skirt by day

One piece two ways

I love the floral pattern on this skirt and the colours are great to work around. This look is all about playing with textures and layering, which is a prerequisite for stylish shoppers this season. For this outfit, I took inspiration from Ali McGraw in Love Story and it channels the preppy vibe that is big on the catwalks.

I have incorporated a soft, yet warm pallet of colours that includes a hint of burgundy and dusky pink. These colours, along with grey and nude, are extremely wearable for most skin types and easy to mix and match with your favourite wardrobe pieces.

The objective for this look is comfort and practicality to help you prepare for those frosty mornings ahead. You can look on trend and feminine without feeling swamped by layers.

Remember to synch in the waist with a skinny belt as this not only gives you a defined shape but adds yet another texture and colour.

For evening time, I have replaced the knit jumpers with a sequin t-shirt that has been tucked into the tapestry skirt. I added the beautiful taupe shearling coat for a touch of glamour but have also kept in mind the objective of staying comfortable and stylish for those cold evenings ahead.

No girl should be without a nude heel; they go with almost anything and elongate the leg – and who doesn't want longer legs?! This gorgeous nude court shoe adds some height to create a sophisticated look.

Statement jewellery is big this season and to capture that trend I added two chunky embellished necklaces. The collar piece and metallic pearls add some more sparkle to the t-shirt.

I used a lovely nude belt to synch in the waist and to complete the look I continued the textured theme by accessorising further with the tapestry floral clutch.
